05 Sep 2026 Salt River Firefighters 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb Sep 05, 2026 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Join your Four Peaks Rotary "Steps Up for the Fallen" team as they tackle climbing 110 stairs on Saturday, September 5th 2026 a Salt River Fields. The NFFF 9/11 Memorial Stair Climbs is a way to honor and remember the FDNY firefighters who selflessly gave their lives so that others might live on September 11, 2001. Each participant pays tribute to an FDNY firefighter by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Your individual tribute not only remembers the sacrifice of an FDNY brother, but symbolically completes their heroic journey to save others. Through firefighter and community participation, we can ensure that each of the 343 firefighters is honored and that the world knows we will never forget. The Stair Climbs fund the programs provided by the NFFF to support the families of your local fallen firefighters and the FDNY Counseling Service Unit. Remembrance Date: 9/11/26 Time: 6pm to 7pm Location: Amphitheatre at Fountain Lake Park • Welcome -Emcee, 2–3 minutes • Presentation of Colors - MCSO, fire honor guard, veterans group, etc. • National Anthem • Pledge of Allegiance • Mayor's Remarks - 5 minutes • Rotary / Tower Replica Story - 5 minutes • First Responder Reflection - Fire representative, 5–7 minutes • Community Reflection - 3–5 minutes • 9/11 Remembrance Reading - recognition of the victims and significance of the 25th anniversary • Bell Ceremony / Final Alarm • Moment of Silence • Closing Remarks - very brief • Community Flag Placement around the tower replicas >> Four Peaks Rotary to set up memorial display at approximately 6am (to be confirmed)
