General Overview of Program
 
  • Four Peaks Rotary partners with area merchants and its customers to raise money for community club projects.One way we do this is through our Round Up 4 Four Peas Rotary program.
  • The money raised through the Round Up 4 Four Peaks Rotary program funds community projects in Fountain Hills and the surrounding area. Recent Partners Initiatives such as the Fountain Hills Community Health Fair, Arizona Search Dogs, Fountain Hills High School and other local needs
  • The Round Up 4 Four Peaks Rotary program generally runs for one month. Our team works with you to determine what you’ll need for your POS device.
  • When a customer makes a sale in your store, they are given the option to round up to the nearest dollar or, if your POS supports it, designate a flat dollar amount.
  • Four Peaks Rotary Club will provide a Round Up 4 Four Peaks Rotary logo and short content for inclusion in the POS system and any local marketing of the program.Our marketing team promotes this partnership on social media all month long. Four Peaks Rotary Club likes to use our partner’s logo in our combined social media campaign.
  • At the end of the month, your business provides a check for the round up amount.

Several major Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal providers support features for local charitable giving, including round-up programs (where customers donate the change to the next dollar) or direct donation prompts at checkout. These are often built-in, via apps, or add-ons, and focus on compliance for nonprofits and local causes.
 
The list below represents many of the key POS providers based on their current offerings. Four Peaks Rotary Club suggests you verify with your merchant services provider for your specific hardware/setup, as features may require integrations.
 
  • Clover: "Donate at Checkout" app for round-ups and custom donations to local charities on Clover terminals (e.g., Mini, Flex).
  • Toast: Built-in Fundraising for round-ups or flat donations on Toast terminals (e.g., Go, Flex).
  • Lightspeed Retail (Lightspeed Commerce):  Custom "Donation" product with round-up modifiers on X-Series hardware.
  • Revel Systems: Native Donations with round-up prompts on Revel hardware.
  • Shopify POS (Shopify): Apps like ShoppingGives for round-ups on Shopify Terminal or mobile setups.
  • NCR Voyix: Charity module for round-ups on NCR terminals (e.g., Silver, Aloha).
  • QuickBooks Point of Sale (Intuit):  "Round Up Donations" add-on for local charities on Desktop POS.
  • Square: Supports donations via custom items or modifiers on Square POS (mobile-first on smartphones/tablets with free app; optional Reader hardware). Over 10 million donations processed; ideal for nonprofits with mobile setups. Procedures to Enable (Workaround via Custom Item):
  • Stripe Terminal: Supports in-person donations via Terminal readers (e.g., BBPOS WisePOS E, Verifone P400; mobile-compatible) with integrations like Fundraise Up for events. Round-ups possible via custom code or API (deprecated sample available; use nonprofit tools for recurring/easy giving).
  • Mobile Phone Apps/Devices (Key Options): Smartphone/tablet-based POS apps with built-in or integrated round-ups for local giving. Top picks: Zeffy (zero-fee, Tap to Pay on iPhone), RoundUp App (donor/merchant mobile round-ups), Donorbox
