Fountain Hills School District to assist Four Peaks Rotary Club collecting items for donation for soldiers from the communities of Fountain Hills, Rio Verde, Fort McDowell and surrounding areas and units of the Arizona National Guard that are deployed to Iraq and afghanistan. these items will be mailed to the soldiers shortly after the Town of Fountain Hills Public Safety Appreciation Day Saturday, February 13th from 10 – 2. Prior to the actual event, donations can be dropped off at Bashas and Instant Imprints in the Bashas Shopping center Collection boxes are also available at; Fountain Hills Middle School, McDowell Mountain Elementary School, Four Peaks Elementary School, and Fountain Hills High School . another collection box is located at the VFW post 7507 at 11803 N. Please help us help them by donating. for additional information on items to be collected and soldier support please call Club President Jim Guess at 480-837-1830. At the bottom of this page is a list of items that soldiers need most.
Fun and entertainment will be available for all ages at the Town of Fountain Hills Public Safety Appreciation Day. four peaks rotary club has arranged for the arizona national guard to have available a 30 foot climbing rock wall, a van set up for children to play video games, and a hummvee for everyone to explore.
Arizona national guard joint family support programs will have available representatives to answer any questions you might have on deployments.
Mid 1st bank will have an ATM van ,which also has coin counting machines for donating change to help offset shipping costs, so bring your change and do not forget your piggy bank , we will have hammers available. the machines will issue a receipt which can be certified by the four peaks rotary foundation as a charitable donation to A 501(c3) charity, just stop by th rotary table to have your receipt stamped. The best part about it is the bank will match up to $1000 to help offset shipping cost.
